Gurvinder Batra plays a role in every aspect of Aptara’s operations. He also monitors emerging technologies to improve publishing solutions for customers.
Gurvinder spearheaded the creation of the industry's first front-end XML workflow process, for simultaneous production of high-quality content for a full range of publishing formats, both print and electronic.
Prior to joining Aptara, Gurvinder started his own company in India, a desktop publishing firm called Calligraphics. Earlier he worked for D.C.M., Data Products, a computer manufacturer in New Delhi.
The Indian native earned an electronics and communications engineering degree from Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi in 1987.
